Munster have announced new contracts for two of their first-team front-rowers.

Prop James Cronin and hooker Mike Sherry have both agreed new deals.

Sherry has signed a two-year contract extension that will keep him with the province until June 2018.

Loosehead Cronin, who was being linked with a move to the Premiership this morning, has committed to Munster on a three-year deal up until 2019.

"We are delighted with the latest news, and as a group are hugely lifted with three of our home-grown players committing their futures to the province," said head coach Anthony Foley.

"James and Mike have shown what they are capable of time and time again and they both have a massive part to play in this squad's progression."

Meanwhile, academy player David Johnston will advance to a full-time contract next season.
