Nasri reveals Pep Guardiola has a sex curfew for his players

There are many secrets to Pep Guardiola's success that are well known.

Tactically, he has proven innovative during his time at Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Manchester City and that has helped him win a host of the world's biggest football prizes as a manager at the former two clubs.

Currently, City is the project he hopes to mould into something special.

This season at least, Samir Nasri isn't part of the club's campaign, with the former France international out on loan at Sevilla.

Indeed, the attacking midfielder recently claimed that Guardiola did want him to leave Manchester, saying: "Guardiola, until the last moment, tried to make me stay but I was clear I wanted to leave and go to a place where I could give my best level. I was looking for a family club and in Sevilla I have found just that, but until the last moment I haven't been able to leave."

Nasri has been a revelation for in-form Sevilla thus far this season, while City have had some good results including beating Guardiola's former club Barcelona in a Champions League group match.

Despite being far away from the scene, Nasri revealed a couple of things he learned about the City manager's methods before departing - including a sort of sex curfew.

In an interview on L'Equipe du Soir in France during the international break, Nasri revealed that Guardiola prefers to see his players engage in certain activities before a certain time of day - and cites Lionel Messi and Robert Lewandowski as players who have benefited.

"[Sexual] relations must be before midnight. Even if you have a free day the following day," said Nasri of Guardiola's regulations.

"He told us this is how he managed to get the best out of Messi and Lewandowski, and for them to avoid the maximum number of muscular injuries. It's so you can get a good night's sleep."
