Neil McGee will miss Saturday's Ulster semi-final with Monaghan and their following game after that.
The Donegal defender was red carded for striking in their win over Fermanagh in the quarter-final.
The GAA has confirmed the suspension was appealed to the central hearings committee who rejected the case put forward by the Donegal man.
It's a two-game ban because it is a repeat offense by McGee.
