Lewis Hamilton has lost further ground to Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg in the Formula 1 drivers' championship.

He's finished third at the Japanese Grand Prix, with Rosberg clinching first place to extend his lead over Hamilton to 33 points in the standings.

With all of that, Mercedes have taken the constructors' championship.

With 100 points to play for, the German can afford to finish second in his remaining races to clinch a maiden world title.

Earlier in the weekend, Hamilton was beaten to pole position by Rosberg by just 0.013 seconds.
