OTB AM SPORTS ROUND-UP | GAA chaos, Champions Cup news, Jose's rage

This morning's OTB AM sports round-up is brought to you in association with taking a step back and appreciating the strength of Irish sport. A Grand Slam-winning rugby team has just gone to Twickenham to tweak Eddie Jones' nose. Gordon Elliott and Willie Mullins have gone to English shores on marauding missions to both Cheltenham and Aintree and have returned to these shores on a longboat laden with more winners than is strictly fair. Davy Russell has just defied age to ride Tiger Roll to Grand National immortality.

And some football happened too. Danes going around wrecking the buzz. Still, with the stoicism one can expect from a country of almost relentless grey skies and horizontal rain, we plough on. Oh, ploughing - we're good at that too.

OTB AM has UCD's Irish History and Sports History lecturer Paul Rouse in studio with Ger lending a sheen of respectability to proceedings. First up, the lads discussed the direction of the GAA, with the Association reportedly not convinced that separating club and county seasons is the solution to what ails. We had a lengthy discussion on the rejigging of championships and the wider issues.

Andy Dunne joined us in studio to talk through the travails of Leinster and Munster in this weekend's Champions Cup action. Brian O'Driscoll was in studio last night and cast doubt over the positional future of Isa Nacewa as his career progresses. We look at all the machinations for the weekend and the potential for an all-Ireland final.

Below are this morning's papers and a round-up of the best sporting discussions this morning. Because the work day is just starting, and there is no better way to spend the time.

OTB AM is brought to you every weekday from 7:45 on our Facebook, YouTube and Periscope channels. Subscribe to watch the latest sporting content, brought to you in association with Eir - #LetsMakePossible.
