Oakmont's greens are going to cause havoc at the US Open

Traditionally, the US Open is the toughest of golf's four majors, and it looks like the 2016 tournament will be no different.

Five on the last ten winners have finished even-par or worse. It's a tournament that takes no prisoners on the greens, or in the notoriously cruel rough.

World number one Jason Day goes into the tournament as favourite, ahead of former champion Rory McIlroy and last year's winner Jordan Spieth.

One player who is further down the odds is Max Kieffer. The German golfer has already played at the US Open, but has yet to make the cut.

The 25-year-old posted a video on his Instagram account showing how quick the greens actually are. From pulling his putter back a few inches, the ball rolls off the green, despite travelling at a slow pace.

It's going to be a very long week for players who are lacking confidence on the greens.

Yes this will be a challenge! 😅#usopen #oakmont
