Pre-fight expectations were somewhat muted but in the end, the Los Angeles showdown between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder delivered in spades.

There was controversy about the final decision with many feeling that Fury was unlucky not to be awarded the win despite being knocked down twice - including at the end when he somehow got up after Wilder floored him.

The suggestion that Fury deserved to be deemed winner was one former World Middleweight champion Andy Lee concurred with when he joined us to review the fight.

"The fight itself was thrilling, dramatic and that's what should be celebrated," he said, before sharing his feelings on the decision.

"I thought Tyson won and I thought they robbed him. It's plain and simple as that. I thought he won the fight and I thought he boxed superbly."

He also feels that the context of the last few years in which Fury has been mostly inactive within the ring, Andy was even more impressed.

With renewed excitement around the heavyweight division, Andy also shared his thoughts on what Anthony Joshua would have made of Saturday night's fight as one of that trio that are vying for supremacy.

"I think he'll be quite happy with that fight because both guys showed vulnerabilities," he said.

"Obviously Tyson being knocked down twice and then Deontay not being able to finish Tyson and looking quite limited in his boxing ability.

"But he would also be worried too because of the power of Deontay Wilder and also the boxing skill of Tyson Fury.

"If he had to pick one that he was going to win, it would be Wilder because I don't think he wants to go anywhere near Fury [because of] the boxing ability, the power and the boxing brain."
