When James McClean was substituted on Saturday evening, just after the hour mark, blood clearly could be seen coming through his sock.

Although walking off, in what seemed to be relative comfort, the West Brom and Ireland winger clearly was in trouble with what turned out to be a very nasty cut to his shin.

The Derry winger saw his team lose 2-1 to Liverpool as The Baggies finished the weekend in 13th place. They play Manchester City next weekend at The Hawthorns. Hopefully McClean will be fit to take his place in the team.

If not, it may be a worry for Martin O'Neill ahead of next month's World Cup qualifier with Austria.

If it was vice versa 🤔👀
