Manny Pacquiao had to skip two days training as preparations for his welterweight title tight with Jessie Vargas took a small setback.
The "Pacman" is due to enter the ring on November 5 as he returns from a brief retirement announced last April.
After recently being elected to his country's senate, his workload has increased dramatically. Despite previously working as a congressman, his election to the upper house of Filipino politics has seen him re-dedicate his political efforts.
Speaking to the Manilla Times, Pacquaio's strength and conditioning trainer, Justin Fortune, said: “He is definitely on schedule to be in shape, he is very nice and very impressive. We just started the training camp so progressively and he becomes better everyday."
“Manny enjoys his schedule despite it is chaotic and he loves his job. His job as a senator will not going to affect his condition. He is a happy father and he trains his best. I have been with Manny for 14 years, I know him and there’s no problem," he added.

Also speaking to the Manilla Times, Pacquiao’s assistant trainer Jonathan Penalosa said: “It’s a good decision to have a two-day rest and there will be no problem. He suffered cold last Friday and he cancelled a two-day training. So his last training and sparring was last Thursday, but he’ll be back on Monday.”
