Former Ireland and Chelsea defender Paddy Mulligan believes Manchester City's inconsistency makes Arsenal slight favourites in tonight's big Premier League clash at the Emirates.
Speaking on the Rewind podcast ahead of the game, Paddy tipped the Gunners to edge out their title rivals and close the gap on Leicester City at the top of the table.
"I'd have a sneaking fancy that Arsenal might just get there, just by the odd goal in three," he said.
"Narrowly, but only because of the inconsistency of City. City on their day would beat anybody but they're so inconsistent and they're prone to terrible errors at the back. Now, Arsenal are in the same boat as well. If Koscielny is in there and Mertesacker, they're not the greatest defenders either. So, it's going to be interesting but just because it's at the Emirates, I'm going to with Arsenal."
Paddy reviewed Liverpool's loss to Watford, as well as Man United's woes and his former club Chelsea's situation on the podcast:
On Chelsea, Paddy spoke about some of the tension he witnessed between former manager Jose Mourinho and Eden Hazard.
"I was over at the Porto game two weeks back for the Champions League match and the body language told me an awful lot that night, especially when Hazard was walking off at the end of the night. He absolutely ignored Mourinho - I watched him - Mourinho went to go and give him the eye contact, put his arm [around him] and he didn't want to know and Fabregas walked with his head down past Mourinho as well. That spoke volumes as far as I was concerned."
