Paul Dunne on the cusp of the leaders at Qatar Masters

Paul Dunne is one shot off the lead after his third round at the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters in Doha.

The Irish golfer shot a 2-under par 70 today to finish up on 7-under, which leaves him just one behind a leading group of nine golfers including England's Andy Sullivan.

Bradley Dredge who held the lead after Day One is also among that leading pack on 8-under.

Graeme McDowell shot a 3-over 75 which brings him to 3-under overall.

Dunne did not birdie or bogey a hole in his front nine but his back nine saw him pick up shots on the 10th, 11th, 16th and 18th holes.

However, consecutive bogeys on the 12th and 13th meant he did not finish up in the lead after two rounds of action.

It was a difficult day for McDowell. Birdies on his 1st and 2nd were followed up by bogeys on the 3rd, 5th and 6th.

There would be no relief on the back nine with three bogeys and just a single birdie.

That round of 75 leaves him tied for 45th and reduces the impact of his excellent opening day 66.
