Manchester United legend Paul Scholes is keen to return to Old Trafford in a coaching capacity according to reports.

A pundit on BT Sport currently, Manchester Evening News claims that the former academy-produced playmaker is willing to return to the club but will not make an approach.

Scholes, who has been very critical of Louis van Gaal's management of the club would become the third member of the Class of 92 to join the club if it happens, with Ryan Giggs serving as assistant manager and their former team-mate Nicky Butt recently taking charge of the academy.

Scholes briefly worked in Giggs' backroom team when his former team-mate took on the caretaker role after the sacking of David Moyes and has spoken about coaching ambitions with Off The Ball.

"I've got my UEFA B licence and the next step will be the A Licence. I'll probably get that done as soon as I can," he told us last April.
