Peter Odemwingie has reportedly missed a Monday morning training session at Stoke and boarded a plane to France in search of a move to Marseille.
Marseille had reportedly picked out the Stoke attacker as a possible replacement for Michy Batshuayi, who could be headed in the opposite direction. News from France, however, suggests that Marseille have decided they don't want Odemwingie as he is 'not a priority' for them.
The former Nigerian international has just six months to run on his contract with Stoke and has only made seven appearances this year for Mark Hughes' side. The 34-year-old has fallen behind Xherdan Shaqiri and Ibrahim Afellay in Hughes' squad.

This should not be news to us as we all know that Peter Odemwingie gets restless in January. In 2013, he drove 120 miles from Birmingham to London in order to push a move through to QPR. The deal never happened and Odemwingie admitted his regret over the entire episode.
"I didn't even know what to think; I was laughing and almost crying at the same time! I believed it was done, I had nothing to hide.
"They (West Brom players) were confused a bit and they knew I believed the deal was done. But then it was tough of course with the fans.
(After the move collapsed) I said I'm going to play a song from Akon, Lonely, and drive home. I wish it all didn't happen, but that's life."
It looks like he hasn't learned his lessen yet though.
