Munster Director of Rugby Rassie Erasmus has given his strongest hint, that he is will to tear up the Munster tradition in a bid to bring success back to the province.
The South African joined the province in the summer, and has seen the team win four of their opening five matches in the Pro12. Munster last won the Heineken Cup in 2008, and the 44-year-old wants to bring the glory days back to Thomond Park.
Writing in the November edition of Rugby World, Erasmus admitted the 'Munster way' may be out of date in the modern game.
"We don't want to lose the sole of Munster, but on the flipside we have to try new things. I think it was Albert Einstein who said: "If you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got", and that's true here. There's a Munster way, which has been integral to their success, but rugby has moved on."

"There are behaviours we need to interrogate as a group, even if the process in uncomfortable. If it still works fine, we'll keep it in, but if it's something that must be addressed we'll do that."
Erasmus has spent the entirety of his rugby career working in South Africa, but has been impressed by the talent at Munster, specifically Darren Sweetnam and the academy duo Stephen Fitzgerald and Dan Goggin.
Peter O'Mahony, Keith Earls and Conor Murray were also named as the leadership group in Munster, while Erasmus called Paul O'Connell's continuing mentorship as "fantastic".
Munster's Pro12 season continues this weekend, when they play Leinster in the Aviva Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
