Robbie Keane and Kevin Doyle to do battle in the MLS Playoffs

Robbie Keane and Kevin Doyle are Ireland's two biggest exports to Major League Soccer, and the two strikers are set to face off the the post-season.

LA Galaxy defeated Real Salt Lake 3-1 on Wednesday night, to book their place against Colorado Rapids. Keane started the game on the bench, but came on with 40 minutes to go in place of goalscorer Alan Gordon.

It was the former Ireland captain's first appearance for the team in almost a month after injuring himself against Dallas.

The two-legged semi-finals begin on Sunday evening in Los Angeles, before the return leg in Denver. The winner will advance to the Western Conference Final.

That game takes place over two legs, before a one-off MLS Cup Final on December 10th.

Doyle moved to MLS in March 2015 and has scored 11 goals for the club. The Wexford star has played LA Galaxy on four occasions, but Keane was only involved in two of those games.

The most recent of those came in March when the Rapids won 1-0.

Both games have not had kickoff times confirmed yet, but there certainly will be Irish interest in what what should be an entertaining two games.
