Waterford United have announced that manager Roddy Collins has departed the club.

The former Bohemians, Carlisle United and Shamrock Rovers boss had been in charge of the team since 2015.

Waterford are currently sixth in the eight-team First Division.

But they suffered a heavy 8-1 home defeat to UCD on Friday.

They had not won a league game since mid-August.
