Manchester United have lost 2-1 to Fenerbahce in their Europa League match in Istanbul.

Wayne Rooney's late goal proved to be only a consolation as Jose Mourinho's side lost for the second away match from two in their group.

United went behind early after an outstanding finish from Moussa Sow whose overhead kick in the second minute found its mark in style.

Just before the hour mark, Jeremain Lens made it 2-0 when he curled in a free-kick.

Rooney pulled one back with one minute to go but it wasn't enough to salvage a draw.

Mourinho's side are now third in their group, one point behind Fenerbahce and Feyenoord.
