Rory McIlroy has been grouped with Jon Rahm and Japan's Hideto Tanihara at the Masters on Thursday.

That trio will tee off at Augusta just after 6.40pm Irish time.

Around 20 minutes before McIlroy's group get underway, Shane Lowry will tee off with Sergio Garcia and Lee Westwood at 6.19pm.

World number 1 Dustin Johnson will play alongside two time Masters champion Bubba Watson, and another American Jimmy Walker in the final pairing to tee off.

The 2015 Masters champion Jordan Spieth is in Group 14 with Germany's Martin Kaymer and England's Matthew Fitzpatrick, while Jason Day, Brandt Snedeker and Justin Rose are in Group 16.

Having won the US Open, British Open and PGA Championship at least once each, the Masters presents the final barrier between Rory McIlroy and the achievement of a full set of all four majors.

His best finish at Augusta came in 2015 when he finished fourth.

Lowry finished tied for 39th at the 2016 Masters, having been tied for second after the opening round of action.
