Rory McIlroy is only two shots off the pace after he recovered from a bad start on Day 3 of the French Open.

The World No 4, who hit a double bogey and three bogeys in the first eight holes, is 6-under par after starting the day in a share of the lead.

He is tied in second with South Korea's Jeunghun Wang.

Padraig Harraington is 7-over par.

Thongchai Jaidee leads the way on 8-under par.
