Rory McIlroy will miss the BMW PGA Championship golf at Wentworth later this month.

The World No 3 is defending his title at Quail Hollow in North Carolina this week before competing in the Players Championship and then the Irish Open.

McIlroy's agent confirmed to the Press Association that he is not keen on playing four tournaments in a row so close together following the ankle injury he suffered last year.
