"That was straight away alarm bells" - Andrew Conway picks out Munster mistakes at Glasgow

While Munster will welcome back some of their key internationals in the next couple of weeks, the 37-10 defeat to Glasgow Warriors did raise a number of concerns for the staff and players to ponder over the weekend.

Speaking to Off The Ball's Oisin Langan on Monday, Ireland international Andrew Conway explained what he and his team-mates were looking for in their review meeting.

"Looking for guys who were not putting shoulders on - me included - tackling with the chest and then on the flipside whenever we turned it around, Glasgow were putting shoulders down and through us, driving past, getting through breakdowns, getting over us, being on top of us, out-aggressing us, if that's even a word," said the wing and full back.

"So that was straight away alarm bells because you're going, 'Right, that's not necessarily a skill error'. Grand, you might not have the tackle technique but if someone goes flying in and tries to make a tackle and misses it, we can live with that.

"It's whenever people are sitting back and trying to catch guys, that's not how we defend. When we defend, we're a hard-pressing team, we try to bring line speed and with that you can't bring line speed and then just have a grabby tackle because it defeats the purpose of it. That was probably one of the things that stood out for me. I was one of the ones that did a few times for one of the tries where Sarto went through about six of us and I was just waiting for him in the back-field and thought he was going to hand me off and threw a flailing body at him without any real intent so stuff like that is the stuff that eats away at you."
