Ryan Giggs will be back on our screens sooner than we expected, as the Manchester United assistant manager joins ITV's coverage of the European Championships.

Giggs will take up a role as a pundit in ITV's Paris studio with presenter Mark Pougatch, Lee Dixon and Ian Wright among others.

He will begin his role for ITV's live coverage of Poland vs. Portugal on Thursday 30 June.

Since retiring as a player, Giggs has taken up the role as assistant manager with Manchester United and briefly was the caretaker manager of the club after the sacking of David Moyes in 2014. He oversaw the final four games of that season, including two victories, one draw and one defeat.

The former Welsh international has faced intense speculation over whether he will leave his position at the club with the arrival of new manager, Jose Mourinho.
