Ryan Giggs will be leaving Manchester United after 29 years.

That's according to the BBC who report that an official statement will be made in the next few days.

The former winger turned assistant manager made his punditry debut with ITV last night but questions about his future at Old Trafford were off limits, fueling speculation that a departure was in the works.

An exit was expected after Jose Mourinho was appointed manager at Manchester United, following Giggs' two-year spell as an assistant to Louis van Gaal.

Sky Sports say that Mourinho will bring in his own long-time assistant Rui Faria to work with him in place of Giggs.
