San Antonio book date with Golden State in the West

San Antonio Spurs will meet Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Finals after defeating Houston Rockets on Thursday night.

The Spurs won 114-75 in the most one-sided game of the NBA Playoffs so far. San Antonio won the best-of-seven series 4-2.

Despite the series lasting six games, five of them were enormously one-sided. With the exception of Game 5, which went to overtime, the other games saw a double-digit points differential between the sides.

On Thursday night, San Antonio had the game all but wrapped up by half-time, when they led 61-42. The Spurs won all four quarters, with Houston getting within four points in third.

Without the likes of Kawhi Leonard, who injured is ankle before Game 6, the Spurs still had too much for the Rockets, which included the likes of MVP-candidate James Harden.

LaMarcus Aldridge top-scored for the Spurs with 34 points, as five other players including Patty Mills and Pau Gasol hit double figures. Trevor Ariza scored 20 for the Rockets, as Harden disappointed, only scoring ten.

Only one series is left to be decided in the second round of the NBA Playoffs. In the Western Conference, Boston Celtics lead Washington Wizards 3-2 ahead of Game 6 on Friday night.

The winners of that series will meet Cleveland Cavaliers, the reigning champions in the Finals of the West.
