One for Arthur has become just the second Scottish trained winner of the Grand National.

The 14/1 shot, ridden by jockey Derek Fox, took the lead very late in the famous race at Aintree before securing the win.

It is Scotland's first victory in the event since 1979.

Gordon Elliott trained Cause of Causes came home in second, with Saint Are back in third.

The 9/1 favourite Blaklion finished fourth.

Earlier, Yanworth, ridden by Barry Geraghty, won the Grade 1 Ryanair Stayers Liverpool Hurdle.

The 4/1 San Benedetto took victory in the Doom Bar Maghull Novices' Chase.
