Irish hooker Sean Cronin has hailed Joe Schmidt for delivering three 6 Nations Championships in five years whilst also describing what it's like to work under him.

Ireland head to Twickenham this weekend looking to win only a third Grand Slam in the country's history when they face England.

Eddie Jones' side have lost back-to-back games for the first time under his stewardship and are under pressure from the British press to produce a result against Ireland.

Cronin has worked with Irish coach Joe Schmidt ever since the New Zealander took over at Leinster and was keen to praise his effect on Irish sport.

"His results speak for themselves - three Championships in five years is incredible. He has a great support staff behind him and he's top quality.

"Obviously I've been involved with Joe for a long time with Leinster and Ireland and you know, I've heard other guys say if they make a mistake during a game they're kind of thinking during the game about the review on Monday mornings so there's not many coaches that can put that kind of "emotional fear" into you so obviously he's top quality and down through the years he has been producing teams and results that re of the highest quality," he added.
