Shane Lowry secures top six finish in Phoenix after impressive final round

Shane Lowry finished in style during the final round of the Waste Management Phoenix Open last night, his three-under par 68 securing him a top ten finish.

The Clara golfer was in imperious form during the competition and even led at one stage in proceedings, but a disappointing third round saw him slip back off the pace to joint-tenth.

So, with a little more freedom to play, Lowry enjoyed his final round and picked up birdies on five of the last seven holes.

This included a wonderful piece of showboating on the par-3 16th:

Hideki Matsuyama won the tournament after Rickie Fowler found the water twice on the 17th hole to give the Japanese golfer the opportunity to force a play-off, which he duly won.

It was the ninth time in his career he'd driven the ball into the water on that hole.

But he did enjoy this wonderful piece of magic in his final round.
