Simon Mignolet must have forgot about the six second rule last night

Liverpool have reached the last 32 of the Europa League after a 2-1 win over Bordeaux last night.

Jurgen Klopp's side came from behind after goalkeeper Simon Mignolet was penalised for holding the football for more than 20 seconds in the box. The Rules of the Game state that; "A goalkeeper is not permitted to keep control of the ball in his hands for more than six seconds."

From the resulting free kick, the French side took the lead. Henri Saivet put the ball in the top left corner of the net from an indirect free kick.

First half goals from James Milner and Christian Benteke helped Klopp's side to the win. Liverpool now top Group B by a point ahead of their final game against FC Sion in Switzerland.

Despite the mistake from Mignolet, manager Jurgen Klopp was able to joke about the incident after the game.
