Sky Sports reveal top players of 2015 and Ronaldo is not even the first Real Madrid player named

Sky Sports have revealed their top 100 players of 2015, which is based on WhoScored's rating system. Cristiano Ronaldo does not make the top ten and is not even the first Real Madrid player mentioned on the list.

Leo Messi leads the way, as he does in most lists he is a part of, with an average score of 8.821. Neymar takes second place as the little Brazilian's rise to prominence in Barcelona's attack continues. Zlatan Ibrahimovic finishes off the top three with a rating of 8.077.

James Rodriguez is next in fourth before Cristiano Ronaldo finally appears fifth on the list. This comes as a shock to those who believe that Ronaldo and Messi are still untouchable at the pinnacle of world football.

In their blurb about the Portuguese attacker, they say "It might have been a trophyless year for the Portuguese, but the goals have continued to flow for club and country. After ending the 2014/15 season with a remarkable 48 league goals, he has netted 12 in the second half of the year and also took his tally to a record-breaking 11 in the group stage of the Champions League when he scored four against Malmo. He is in contention to win a fourth Ballon D'Or if he can pip Lionel Messi and Neymar to the award."

Ronaldo has scored 12 goals this season in La Liga with five of those goals coming in a 6-0 drubbing of Espanyol. Two more of his goals came in a 10-2 victory over nine man Rayo Vallecano. It would take almost a miracle for Ronaldo to beat Messi to the balon d'Or and while this list is flawed, it is further evidence that something is amiss at the Santiago Bernabeu or with Cristiano Ronaldo's form in the last year.
