For all their talk and all their build-up for this year's Open Championship at Royal Troon, it appears Sky Sports have suffered a slight malfunction in their equipment.

While Phil Mickelson and Henrik Stenson were tearing it up on the course this morning, it was the Sky camera suspended above play that was on fire. Literally.

The device was located above the range and not on the course itself. It appears the stormy conditions may have caused the camera to become faulty and catch fire.

Sky were quick to ensure that the device was quickly taken down for fear that it may injure a spectator or player.
