Southampton got their Europa League group stage campaign off to a winning start by beating Sparta Prague 3-0 at St Mary's.

Striker Charlie Austin scored twice to set the Saints on their way.

The first came by way of the penalty spot after just five minutes.

He then doubled that lead when he headed in a Cuco Martin cross.

With the Premier League side in control against the Czech club, Jay Rodriguez added a third in stoppage time.
