Steph Curry ejected as Cavaliers bring Warriors to the brink in NBA finals

Steph Curry was ejected from game six of the NBA Finals and hit a fan with his gumshield as the Golden State Warriors suffered a lopsided defeat in Cleveland on Thursday night.

The loss means the series will be decided on Sunday night back in Oakland as the Cavaliers beat the Warriors 115-101 last night. It will be the first time a team who once trailed 3-1 in the finals will come back to win should the LeBron James-led Cavaliers beat Curry's Warriors in Game 7.

James was two rebounds away from a triple-double as he landed 41 points for the second consecutive game along with 11 assists, eight rebounds, four steals and three blocked shots.

Curry fouled out in the fourth quarter but not before landing 30 points with two rebounds an assist and one steal during 35 minutes of action.

"Yeah, I've thrown my mouthpiece before. I usually aim at the scorer's table," Curry said after the game.

"I definitely didn't mean to throw it at a fan, but it happened,

"I went over and apologized to him because that's obviously not where I was trying to take my frustration out. But the last two fouls I had I thought were — I didn't think I fouled either Kyrie [Irving] or LeBron. That's just kind of my perception of the plays and I had a reaction to it."

Curry quickly apologized and made amends with the fan, who was identified as the son of one of the minority owners of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

 

Curry's wife may not have helped matters, tweeting that she thinks the NBA rigged the game before deleting the tweet:
