Steph Curry scores 13 three-pointers in a game, breaking the NBA record

Steph Curry had a point to prove on Monday night, and he did just that.

The back-to-back NBA MVP's record of scoring a three-pointer in consecutive games ended on Friday night, as Golden State Warriors lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in LA. For 157 regular-season games (196 in total), Curry scored from outside the three-point line, but failed in each of his ten attempts against the Lakers.

In the team's first match since Friday night, Curry came back with a vengeance, against New Orleans Pelicans scoring 13 three-pointers in a 46-point display. He broke the record he equalled himself last season, when he matched Kobe Bryant and Donyell Marshall's record of 12 in a single game.

The 13 threes game from only 17 attempts for Curry. To put his record into context, the 19 other players who featured in the game, scored a combined ten three-pointers.

After a slow start to the season, it looks like the Warriors are moving into top gear. With Kevin Durant, joining Curry and the likes of Klay Thompson and Draymond Green, the team could be unstoppable.
