Stephen Bradley named as the caretaker manager of Shamrock Rovers

Shamrock Rovers have confirmed that Stephen Bradley will replace Pat Fenlon as the club's manager on a caretaker basis.

Fenlon left the club last weekend after three seasons with the Tallaght-based team. He failed to win any trophies with the club. 

Bradley spent two seasons with Shamrock Rovers as a player in 2009 and 2010. He was part of the team that won the 2010 Premier Division under current Northern Ireland manager Michael O'Neill.

The 31-year-old has worked at the Premier Division side as assistant manager and has also worked with the club's underage teams.

He will be assisted by Glenn Cronin and current player Stephen McPhail, who will not take up a player-coach role.

Bradley's first game in charge will be the Europa League second leg tie against RoPS Rovaniemi in Finland. The travel to the Scandinavian country having lost the first leg in Tallaght last week, 2-0.
