Mayo manager Stephen Rochford is aware of the task ahead of his side when they face All-Ireland champions Dublin at Croke Park this Sunday.
The westerners pushed the Dubs to the brink last year when Dublin needed a replay to retain Sam Maguire.
Off the Ball's Kevin Kilbane caught up with the Mayo boss ahead of this weekend's showpiece and he said: "I think what Dublin have achieved in the modern game is serious. In fairness to them. Their consistency through National League, Leinster, four of the last five All Irelands, now looking for three-in-a-row - that’s more than impressive.
"But like, they’re a team of 15 men and obviously they got a super bench and full squad but in that, sport can be, you know, you just don’t know on the day. In that we know that we’ve challenged really well against them in the last two seasons - but we haven’t got across the line, you know.
"We’re not happy with being ‘nearly men’ we want 2017 to be different but we know that’s going to take an unbelievable performance and that’s all that we can look to control, to look to get up there and to play as well as we can and see where it takes us," he added.
