Alexey Lovchov is the new strongest man in the world thanks to his record breaking clean and jerk effort of 264 kg (581 pounds).

Due to the fact that Lovchev is in the heaviest weight class of 105+ kg mean that he is unofficially considered the strongest man in the world. The amazing feat took place at the 2015 IWF World Wеіghtlіftіng Championship іn Hоuѕtоn, Texas.

What makes the attempt so incredible is that the 26 year old had never lifted more than 257 in training. Both records he broke were held previously by Iran's Hossein Rezazadeh.
