Sunderland are in talks with Aberdeen over appointing Derek McInnes as their new boss, according to reports on Tuesday.
The club been managerless since David Moyes resigned after his only season in charge ended in Premier League relegation.
McInnes led Aberdeen to the Scottish Cup final and runners-up spot in the Scottish Premiership last term.
