Swansea boss Bradley confirms Berbatov is on his "radar"

Swansea City manager Bob Bradley says he is interested in signing veteran striker Dimitar Berbatov to boost their flagging league form.

The 36-year-old is currently without a club and spent nine seasons at Tottenham, Manchester United and Fulham.

The former Bulgaria international, who attended the Champions League match between his former clubs Tottenham and Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday night, had told BBC Radio that he dreams of a return to English top flight football.

"When you've played in the Premier League you don't want to play anywhere else. In this stage of my career I know where I am - I would happily play for a team where they use my experience and my knowledge," he said.

Bradley knows the player and is aware of his willingness to make a return to the Premier League.

"I've met him a few times and I know he's anxious to get back in the PL," said the former USA boss.

"Everybody in our club knows that, so when there's discussions his name is mentioned. But where it goes we'll see. He's on our radar - but there are a lot of things on our radar."

Swansea are struggling this season as they sit 19th with just five points from 10 matches.

Berbatov's last club was PAOK Salonika in Greece before being released in June.
