Swansea City today confirmed the departure of manager Francesco Guidolin.

The Welsh side sit just outside the relegation zone in 17th position and have won just one game so far this season. They have lost their last three matches in the Premier League and last four in all competitions.

Swansea's latest defeat came at home to Liverpool when they threw away a one-nil lead to lose 2-1.

The club have not yet released a statement.

Guidolin took charge of the club last year after the departure of Garry Monk and helped them to a 12th placed finish.

The club have immediately appointed former USA boss Bob Bradley as his replacement. Bradley's leaving French club Le Havre to take his first role in England.
