Team Sky cyclists publicly back Dave Brailsford

Members of Team Sky have publicly backed boss Dave Brailsford with a coordinated show of support on Twitter.

The Daily Mail have reported that riders were asked to publicly back Brailsford, as questions continue to pile on the 53-year-old over his handling of recent scandals that have hit the British team.

A source told the newspaper that Team Sky riders had told to 'tweet or else', before adding that management had 'lost the plot'.

Reports on Monday evening form Cyclingnews, claimed that riders were preparing to ask Brailsford to step down from his role as General Manager, in a bid to try and return credibility to the under-pressure team.

"No one in the team, currently, is involved in this controversy other than Dave", an unnamed cyclist revealed. "What's it going to take for the team to get on with racing?"

One rider that was conspicuous in his absence from tweeting his support to Brailsford was Chris Froome. The three-time Tour de France winner, failed to back Brailsford on Monday evening.
