The diamond shape in midfield may survive for Ireland especially against a Belgian side which likes to probe down the centre of the pitch, although Kenny Cunningham has stated that he would prefer a move to 4-5-1 with Robbie Brady higher up the field on the left flank.
Either way, we have some players to cause problems for the opposition with Belgian football writer Bjorn De Cock singling out Jeff Hendrick as a danger man especially after an excellent performance in the draw against Sweden.
Additionally the pressure is on Belgium and not just because of their status as a side ranked 2nd in the FIFA rankings.
At least we have a point which takes us in with a chance heading into the final group game, whereas the Red Devils needs a victory to really give themselves hope after a dismal start to the tournament.
Playing on their fears of failure by frustrating them will be important as he 90 minutes unfold.
