Tiger Woods ends his comeback tournament with a disappointing 76

It was a week that showed plenty of promise, but Tiger Woods ended his comeback with a 76 at the Hero World Challenge in The Bahamas.

Woods began the day on -8, in tenth place, but shot the worst round of the day on Sunday to fall down the field. As he did all week, the 40-year-old struggled on the back-nine, double-bogeying the last hole, for the second day in a row.

Over the course of the four rounds, Woods was +6 on the back nine. On the front nine, he was sixteen shots better, shooting -10, for a -4 total.

Wood's comeback can only be called a success despite the disappointing final round. Despite not playing in over a year, he was able to beat Russell Knox and Emilano Grillo over the four rounds in the 18-man field. Justin Rose withdrew after the first round.

Stamina seemed to effect Woods all week, as he struggled on the back-nine each day with his worst round coming on Sunday. Despite that, he did show flashes of brilliance at times, around the course in Albany.

His front-nine in the third round, including birdies on each of the opening four holes, showed the golf world, what Woods can still be capable of.

The former World number one has not yet confirmed when he will return to the course, but he will go into 2017 happy with how he performed this week.
