Tom Brady has a handful of rings, and it looks like he wants plenty more.

The New England Patriots quarterback won his fifth Super Bowl earlier this year in the overtime win over the Atlanta Falcons, at Super Bowl LI.

Brady, who will be 40 at the start of the forthcoming season, is the oldest starting quarterback in the league. It was expected he may only play a couple of more seasons, as back-up Jimmy Garoppolo was waiting in the wings.

Speaking to at Annual League Meeting in Arizona, Robert Kraft, the Patriots' owner said Brady could still be playing for "six, seven more years".

"I think Tommy's sustained excellence is just unbelievable. It's a lifestyle. He's in training. I remember after our first Super Bowl going down to the trainer in the old Foxboro Stadium three days after we won and he's in there with the music blaring, working out."

"The thing that's amazing about him, to this day he hasn't changed as a human being in terms of how he relates to people, but also how he works out. The only thing is he changes how he eats, how he diets. I'm not sure avocado ice cream is right for me, so if I can look like him and perform half as well, I guess I'll do it."

The quarterback is notorious for keeping his body in shape, through his diet and going to bed early in the evening.

While he chances of him playing for the guts of another decade are slim, Kraft's comments show that the quarterback has not even contemplated retirement in the short term.

Kraft also revealed he hoped Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, will still be in charge of the team in his eighties. Belichick is currently on 64-years-old.
