Tyrrell Hatton won the Alfred Dunhill Links Championhship earlier today after carding a final round 66 to win by four strokes at St. Andrews.

He finished the tournament on a total of 23-under ahead of Ross Fisher and Richard Sterne.

Hatton carded only three bogeys in his four rounds but his third round of 10-under at St. Andrew's cemented his grip on the trophey.

Ireland's Shane Lowry finished on a total of 10-under with Paul Dunne a further shot back.

Lowry made six birdies in a flawless final round to finish tied 18th. Dunne posted a score of 69 today to leave him tied 25th.

One of the shots of the day came from Richard Sterne who chipped in for a birdie on his penultimate hole today.

The victory was the twenty-four year old Hatton's first win on the European Tour and his final score of 23-under equals the lowest winning total in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship set in 2013 by David Howell.
