World heavyweight boxing champion speaks to the MMA Hour about the UFC fighter
World heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury has claimed that UFC's interim featherweight champion Conor McGregor has been mimicking him.
Both fighters have made headlines in their respective sports, although Fury's outspoken approach has generated controversy due to allegations of homophobia and sexism over comments he has made.
Speaking to Ariel Helwani on the MMA Hour, Fury claims McGregor has copied his style, although he says he is a fan of the Dubliner.
"I am familiar with a man named Conor McGregor. I think he copied me in everything he does. I was the first trash talker, big time, in these shores, first one in Ireland. Then all of a sudden, he started copying me, this Conor McGregor guy," said the British boxer.
"I grew a big beard. He grew a big beard. I talk bulls**t about everybody, he starts talking bulls**t about everybody. And it worked for the heavyweight champ of the world. It must work for Conor McGregor, some guy who is like 140 pounds or whatever it is."
