Tyson Fury failed to show up for a press conference promoting his world title rematch with Wladimir Klitschko because his car broke down, according to reports.

His manager Mick Hennessy added that Fury's phone ran out of battery and that he was stuck in traffic.

Fury previously caused an upset last November with a win over the Ukranian to claim the WBA, WBO and IBF title and bring his opponent's extensive reign to an end.

A July date was provisionally set for the rematch but was later postponed after Fury suffered an ankle injury. The 'Gypsy King' was later alleged to have been the subject of a doping investigation last year which he has denied.

In August, the UK Anti-Doping Agency revealed that Fury had been provisionally handed a suspension in June. The ban was lifted pending an independent hearing which is confirmed to take place in November, allowing Fury to resume training in August.

Frank Warren of BoxNation — the channel which will broadcast the fight — and Hennessy said that legal representation of the High Court, had given permission for the October 29th date to proceed.
