Tyson Fury vows to defeat Joshua with "one arm tied behind my back"

Tyson Fury, the former World Heavyweight Champion has said he would defeat Anthony Joshua with "one arm tied behind my back".

Fury has not fought since defeating Wladimir Klitschko to win the heavyweight crown in November 2015. The former Irish heavyweight champion surrendered his titles after the win to overcome mental health problems.

Despite not fighting in almost 18 months, Fury is looking to fight Anthony Joshua in an all-British heavyweight title fight, after the former Olympic champion defeated Klitschko on Saturday night in Wembley.

"It was an excellent fight, very entertaining and enjoyable and I was screaming for AJ to smash him," the 28-year-old told Sky Sports.

"I wonder what people would be saying today if Klitschko had done him in the sixth. I was screaming, pulling my hair out - or what little hair I've got left - because I was worried it would cost us millions!"

"There's only one fight out there, the biggest fight in the world and everyone knows that. It is the heavyweights, it is me and AJ, no one else. It is the only one the world wants to see and I am here, I am the lineal champion, I am still number one in the world and everybody knows that."

"Styles do make fights but I am sure I can beat AJ with one arm tied behind my back."

Fury revealed that he does not need a warm-up fight ahead of a potential clash with Joshua. Saturday's fight was broadcast like on both HBO and Showtime in America, giving Joshua a massive audience in the United States.

While a trip across the Atlantic could be next on his horizon, for a fight against the likes of Deontay Wilder, Fury will hope he is next in line to face the new heavyweight king.
