UEFA to open proceedings against Portugal after fan charged the field to get a photo with Cristiano Ronaldo

Public disorder continues to cast a shadow over Euro 2016 with Belgium, Hungary and Portugal emerging as the latest nations to be subjected to disciplinary proceedings.

Portugal have been charged after at least one fan invaded the pitch last night at the end of their scoreless encounter with Austria, in order to get a photo with Cristiano Ronaldo.

Meanwhile, Hungary and Belgium are also being investigated.

Fireworks are said to have been lit and objects thrown, during Belgium's 3-0 win over Ireland in Bordeaux. There were also reports of crowd disturbances in the Group F meeting featuring Hungary which has prompted the Uefa Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Committee to begin investigations.

Clashes in the crowd were witnessed as police entered a section of Hungary fans during the 1-1 draw with Iceland. An Iceland player is also believed to have been struck by an object hurled from the crowd as they celebrated their goal from the penalty spot.

Hungary are already facing charges relating to fireworks set off during their previous group match against Austria. A hearing has been scheduled for June 21st.
