UFC 200 may already have a new headline event
Jones v Cormier could replace McGregor v Diaz as main event15:45 Sunday 24 April 2016, 15:45 24 Apr 2016
How do you replace one of the most eagerly anticipated fights in UFC history?
Well, with arguably an even more eagerly anticipated fight obviously.
Ever since the Conor McGregor 'retirement' debacle, there has been one question that everyone wants answered, who will replace the Irishman as UFC 200's main event?
Apparently an answer has been found, as in the aftermath of Jon Jones' victory against Ovince Saint Preux at last night's UFC 197 event, light-heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier called out the victor, stating he is ready to rumble in 11 weeks if he is cleared by doctors in the coming week.
While Jon Jones looks to be on the same page.

It seems that the organisations president, Dana White, is in agreement with Cormier as he searches for a new main event on the July card, with Jones v Cormier II certainly peaking his interest.
Dana White tells me if Jon Jones is healthy and Daniel Cormier is cleared on an MRI on Monday, they will headline 200.— Brett Okamoto (@bokamotoESPN) April 24, 2016
So DC says fight is on if he gets clean MRI. Jones says he "wants to fight at 200." White says if they're healthy, it's possible.— Brett Okamoto (@bokamotoESPN) April 24, 2016
The rematch between Jones and Cormier was initially set for last night's event, but an injury ruled out the current champion.
It is one of the most anticipated fights in the UFC, with the two thrash talking one another for a number of months now, with 'Bones' getting the latest jab in as he exited the octagon last night.
