UFC Belfast loses main event as Gunnar Nelson pulls out through injury

UFC Belfast has hit a bump in the road as the card's main event has been scrapped less than four weeks from fight night.

Gunnar Nelson has been forced to withdraw from his Welterweight bout with Dong Hyun Kim on November 19th through injury according to MMAFighting.com's Ariel Helwani.

The injury itself has yet to be disclosed, and there has been no update on whether the Hyun Kim will still be on the card, but the headline spot has reportedly been replaced by a rematch of 2015's Gegard Mousasi and Uriah Hall fight.

The last time the pair of Middleweight's met Hall took a surprise victory after scoring a TKO in the second round having being dominated in the first.

Since that bout Hall(12-7) has suffered back-to-back defeats at the hands of Robert Whittaker and Derek Brunson, while Mousasi(40-6) has gone on a three-fight winstreak, most recently knoccking out former Lightweight champ Vitor Belfort in the second round of their UFC 204 matchup in Manchester this month.

Mousasi called out Hall in his post-fight interview from inside the octagon, and it would appear the Dutch-Iranian fighter has been granted his wish of getting the chance to claim back that upset loss.
